Ways to Support Community Mutual Aid
Become a Resource Hub: Collect and distribute essential items (like water, hygiene supplies, and non-perishables) directly to local mutual aid groups making a difference on the ground.
Host a Water Station: Set up a public-access water cooler or refill station, especially during extreme heat, to support unhoused neighbors and anyone in need of hydration.
Launch a ‘Buy One, Give One’ Program: Invite customers to participate in community care. For every item purchased, offer the option to donate a matching item to a mutual aid group or community member in need.
Volunteer Time: Most groups could use extra support gathering and distributing supplies.
